La Saigne's Residence - Santa Teresa - Rio de Janeiro

Past the dining room there is a loggia covered with mosaics (with old red, black with white colors). Overlooking the Bay of Rio de Janeiro ; you can see the “ Pao de Acucar” on the right, between two trees.

Wrought-iron gate; view from the dining room. During reception days, this door was widely open, making only one room with the dining room and the loggia. Receptions for over 100 people were held in this place.

The dining-room, decorated in a Portuguese colonial style. Furniture, chairs and doors are in solid “Jacaranda” wood, the worked-leather seats ; 2 huge doors (weight over 200 kilos each) on the left and right sides of the room. The marble floor is grey and dark-brown colored
